Chai wa 14 Festival

About the event

Chai wa 14 is a three-day festival of Kikuyu food, music and culture, staged from 2 to 4 October by Wanjēri Production. It honours the legacy of the veteran musician Musaimo Wa Njeri and presents his son, Mungai wa Njeri, to festival audiences.

The announced line-up includes Musaimo Wa Njeri, Mungai wa Njeri, Mike Rua, Ikinya Rythm, Maina Radasafi, Wanja Asali, Kasiva Mutua and a string of DJs, with more acts promised. Beyond the stage, the programme lists traditional dances, storytelling circles, teachings, yoga workshops and Kikuyu food.

Ticket-site prices start at KSh 1,800 for a general-admission day pass, or KSh 4,000 for all three days; prices rise at the last minute.
