Kenya's Lamu Port receives 366-metre MV Hamouna, with about 5,200 TEU to unload; Mudavadi meets APM Terminals executive
On 3 October 2026 the 366-metre container ship MV Hamouna called at Lamu Port with about 14,500 TEU on board, about 5,200 of them to be unloaded there, KBC and Capital FM reported. Kenya Ports Authority's managing director said it was the first vessel to discharge more than 5,000 TEU at once, a figure Mombasa port has not surpassed.
