KETRACO energises 86.4km Nanyuki–Rumuruti power line in Kenya; Chinese firms among contractors
On 2 October 2026, the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) energised the 86.4km, 132kV Nanyuki–Rumuruti line at 4:04 pm. The line is expected to shorten the distribution network serving Rumuruti by about 50 per cent, according to reports published on 3 October.
