Kenyan MPs take up petition on Safaricom SIM deactivation and reassigned numbers
On 3 October, Capital FM reported that Parliament's Public Petitions Committee has taken up a petition by Thomson Kerongo and Asiago Stephen, who say subscribers are not always given adequate notice before Safaricom deactivates inactive SIM cards and reassigns the numbers.
